The Story of Marguet
Marguet was created in 2020 under the name Marnelo, and adopted its new identity in 2025 to reflect the strong French heritage of the Maison. Marnelo remains within the House as a distinct line.
The name Marguet pays tribute to the founder’s family history, with a watch manufacture established in Villers-le-Lac, on the French-Swiss border, in 1871 by his forebear, who presented his innovative timepieces at the 1867 Paris Universal Exhibition. Reviving this name honors a family legacy with profound roots, which remains a constant source of inspiration.
This heritage embodied by Marguet is a perpetual dialogue between traditional artisanal savoir-faire and continuous innovation, supported by state-of-the-art machinery, sometimes developed in-house. We continually push boundaries—creating new products, new production techniques, and refining every detail.
Behind the Maison stands Yoann, with a dual background: an MBA in New York and a diploma in leather craftsmanship from a prestigious French school that trains artisans for the country’s most renowned luxury maisons. He learned the savoir-faire of the métier early on, working alongside his father in the family workshop. His ambition: to fuse the beauty of fine leather craftsmanship with luxury tech accessories, reimagined through savoir-faire and rare materials.

In Paris, our design studio shapes and refines each collection, inspired daily by the beauty and richness of the city—its architecture, art exhibitions, and Paris Fashion Weeks.
In Besançon, at the heart of the Franco-Swiss Jura Arc—a region celebrated for luxury watchmaking, eyewear, and fine leather craftsmanship, and home to the ateliers of France’s greatest leather goods maisons—the Marguet workshop brings collections to life. Each operation is executed by expert hands, with an unmatched attention to detail and perfection.
We source rare leathers from renowned French and Italian tanneries, combining them with Alcantara interiors and polished 316L stainless steel, also available in gold-plated finishes. The result: refined objects that embody French savoir-faire, conceived to endure beyond trends and seasons.
